The leisure bicycle race across Iowa has been a tradition since 1973. You start by dipping your back tire in the Missouri River and finish by dipping your front tire in the Mississippi River. People from all over the country join their friends in Iowa, racing across the state and stopping in small towns along the way for some pie or a place to pitch their tents. If you are looking for an adventure that makes you feel like a kid again, look no further. I spent one day in 2018 following the crowds of RAGBRAI as they rolled into my hometown of Iowa City for the night. This project was all about putting the unique event’s comradery on display.
