Ireland

Location: Ireland

During the Fall of 2019, Katie and I spent two weeks exploring the country sides of Ireland and the cities of Netherlands. I had been lucky to visit Ireland once before with my parents when I was 14. This time around we stayed with family in a house that fit all 10+ of us near the costal town of Kinsale. Although we stayed in a different area of Ireland as my first trip, everything was familiar. The friendly locals, the pubs, the miles and miles of green pastures.

We spent a few days exploring the southern part of Ireland with my family, including meeting up with my cousin and her mother who moved there permanently from our mutual home state of Iowa. Then, Katie and I took off on our own to the Cliffs of Mohr for the day with me driving on the left side of the road for the first time ever. We made it to the cliffs, sped down some very narrow countryside roads, and found a cozy lunch spot.

To cap our time in Ireland, Katie and I said goodbye to my family, and we spent two days in Dublin. Plenty of Guinness was consumed while making friends sitting at the bar top.

Ireland will always be a second home to me.
